Don t touch. Goa. When they were buiding the konkan railway the goans made a big hue and cry about the track going through population centres. They were afraid tha people from all over india will come and settle down in goa. Or I guess its because some people didn’t want to partt with land. Thats the reason you have to get off a tivim for north goa. Luckily the tracks pass through madgoan where I found this map. At the station

This reminds me of Los Angeles where the subway tracks don’t go through predominantly white neighborhoods.
